HONEY-CHILI CHICKEN WINGS
Serves 2-4
Ingredients
- 3lb party chicken wings (check out Savenor’s)
- 2 Tablespoons canola oil (or other neutral vegetable oil)
- 1 Tablespoon kosher salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- Juice of ½ lemon
- 1 Tablespoon dried oregano
- 1 bottle of Tapi Papi
Garnishes
- 6 sprigs of cilantro, chopped
- 1 Tablespoon sesame seeds, dry toasted
Steps
- Pat wings dry with paper towel and place in a bowl
- Add oil, salt, black pepper, lemon juice, and dry oregano. Toss until fully coated
- Marinate for at least 2 hours, but preferably overnight
- Pre-heat oven to 500º F
- Spread wings over a rack on a large sheet tray without overlapping (use 2 sheet trays if necessary)
- Roast for 20 minutes in the middle rack
- After 20 minutes, pull wings out and set the broiler to high
- Broil for 1-3 minutes or until skin is golden brown
- Put hot wings into a bowl and toss with lots of Tapi Papi
- Garnish with chopped cilantro and toasted sesame seeds
